Hey! I bought this MK2 about ten years ago in the wrong spec—oak green exterior and a red interior, definitely not what I had in mind. I started out with simple mods: just a set of KW coilovers and some wheels. But one thing led to another, and it slowly turned into a full restoration project. I brought it back to its original color: Jadegrün, paired with Recaro XR interior, and added a set of 3-piece Montreal wheels from the 16v. Over the years, I fitted a full Kamei body kit—the OEM tuner back in the day for VW—with all the spoilers, decals, windsplitter, and hood vent. Two years ago was a wild ride, full of highs and lows. The highlight: I installed an air suspension setup. The low point? The engine blew up completely. But I didn’t give up—in fact, I nearly finished rebuilding it, upgrading from the original 16v KR 1.8L to a 2.0L with a few custom specs 😎 My final touch for 2025: a set of untouched BBS RS 001s to give it that true classic vibe. This year, I took part in Soga, All-Klussiv, and Classic Day (FR). Next year’s plan includes XS Carnight, Tief im Wald, MK2 Charity, Stance Land—and maybe a few more surprises.
